The Dunbar Construction Company Incorporated in 1968 has roots that stretch back over 60 years. Founded in 1953 as KayMar Inc., a masonry based company, became one of the premier subcontractors in Connecticut. KayMar Inc. was utilized by many of the top general contractors and developed an exceptional reputation for laying brick, block and stone. Examples of their work can be seen at Yale University, Knights of Columbus, Beth El Synagogue and a number of buildings throughout Greater New Haven.
In 1968 it was determined that the company had the experience & expertise to take on the status of a full service general contracting company. The next generation not only were accomplished masons but were also skilled carpenters. Dunbar Construction Company, Inc. has emerged as one of the top building contractors in Connecticut.
